The company was established in 2004 by Mark Rainey. Due to continuing success we have expanded rapidly in recent years to cope with the growing demand for our services
After a successful career in the banking and insurance industry, working for companies such as Barclays and The Bristol and West, Mark decided he could help more people by becoming an independent broker. Mark has been helping customers find the best mortgage and insurance deals for 20 years and, having lived in Torbay for over 30 years, has a great understanding of the local property market.
Mark is married with 2 daughters. When they are not keeping him busy, he is a keen amateur footballer, not very good, but keen.
Caroline is the office manager and is, unluckily for her, married to Mark :-) She is a great asset to the team and her previous career in banking ensures she runs the office in a very efficient manner.
Toby joined the company in 2012, having previously been a senior manager in a local wholesale business followed by roles in a high street bank and a national estate agent. Like Mark, Toby focuses on exceptional customer service and ensuring the whole process is as hassle free as possible.
Toby is married with a son and a daughter. Toby is a big sports fan and also enjoys meals out with friends.
David joined the company in 2013, Mark and David used to work together at the Bristol and West before David went on to a highly successful career as a mortgage adviser in a local estate agent. He has a great knowledge of property and local market conditions and is enjoying the new role of being total independent and continuing to offer his customers a top class service. David is married and in his spare time enjoys relaxing, cycling and keeping fit.
John, joined the company in 2015, after a successful spell as a school teacher, John fancied a change of career. John is married and has one son. John has started his career within the firm very successfully.
Gary joined the company in 2016, he was originally a customer of Mark's and his enthusiasm to succeed led him to studying for his mortgage exams off his own back. As soon as he passed them all, he contacted Mark and has already proved himself as a very skilled and dedicated mortgage adviser. Gary is married and has 4 children, which keeps him busy !
Peter joined in 2017, he is a very experienced adviser, having over 20 years under his belt in financial services. Dedication to his clients, hard work and great customer service come naturally to Pete and he has slotted in very well with the rest of the team. Peter is a great family man and in his spare time enjoys golf and lower division football (he's a Wolves fan)
Debbie joined the company in 2016 as an administrator. Debbie has previously worked as a mortgage adviser so her skills have transferred very well into the administration role. Debbie is married with one son. One of her best assets is she brings in a lot of biscuits.
Chris joined the company in 2016 as an administrator. Mark has known Chris for over 30 years, Chris is an excellent team member and certainly brings a laugh to the office. He also unfortunately shares a passion with Mark for Aston Villa, so it's lucky he does like a laugh. Chris is married with two sons at the local grammar school, following in their dad's footsteps.
